Cytisus scoparius 'Burkwoodii'
Carmine red with gold border make this variety stand out. Masses of blooms each spring. Habit is upright and arching. Stems remain green after small leaves fall over giving the appearance of being "evergreen." Great showy plant for full sun situations. Will tolerate poor, sandy, and dry sites.
Flowers are sterile and will not reseed or become invasive like its bad cousin Scotch Broom.Zone: 5 - 9
