Nice pink blooming cultivar of kousa dogwood. Bracts are very large and overlap making for a great display. Color of pink will vary from year to year depending on weather conditions. Cooler weather encourages deeper pink blooms. Hot, sunny weather quickly fades the blooms to soft pink/white. Vigorous habit but remains smaller than most white selections. New growth is a nice deep red changing to deep green. Fall colors are scarlet to purple. Very little fruit set. Growing conditions can severly effect the flower size of this cultivar. Stressed trees will have very small, undersized bracts with not much color. Vigorous, established trees will exhibit the normal large deep pink blooms.
