Brilliant yellow selection of the well known Japanese Barberry. One of the first shrubs to leaf out each spring, the golden color shouts spring. Likes sun but needs some protection from afternoon sun in hot climates. This form is slow growing and will ultimately become a small globe only 3 feet tall and 4 feet wide. Fall color is crimson red.

This yellow cultivar pairs well with blues and silvers in the perennial garden.
