Magnolia hybrid 'Ann'Ann Hybrid Magnolia | |
Great selection for smaller landscapes. Shrubby, dense habit and prolific flower production make this a popular Magnolia for any landscape. Deep purple-red flowers appear in Midspring, usually missing any late frosts. Flowers are tulip shape and appear of a 2 month period. Tends to flower well, even at a young age. Good choice for containers. Deciduous. This is a cross of M. liliflora 'Nigra' and M. stellata 'Rosea'. The tree often reflowers later in the summer due to its M. liliflora roots.
