River's Purple European Beech
Nice purple leaved from of European beech. Growth is slow and slender when young, but will become specimen size with age. Dark purple spring foliage fades to dark green in summer and then to tawny copper come fall. Beautiful large shade tree for landscapes that can accomodate it.
This is the cultivar most people associate with the term "Copper Beech." Purple leaves in spring turning to bright copper in fall.Zone: 4 - 7
