Acer palmatum 'Oshio Beni'

Oshio Beni Japanese Maple

An old cultivar dating back to the 1800s in Japan. Spring foliage color is bright reddish-orange aging to bronzy green with the heat of summer. Habit is upright with small leaves giving it a delicate appearance. Holds up well in full sun without scorching. Fall color is a mixture of oranges and reds.

Even thought the red spring foliage color doesn't last as long as other varieties, the fall color is always spectacular in this variety.
